The British Refrigeration Association (B.R.A.)

The British Refrigeration Association (B.R.A.) is the only trade association representing manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, distributors, contractors, specifiers and end-users of refrigeration plant, equipment and components.

The Institute of Refrigeration

The Institute of Refrigeration is an independent registered charity run for the public benefit with a membership of over 2200 individuals whose work depends on refrigeration. The Institute provides a central resource for people from all over the world to improve the application of refrigeration and allied fields for the general good of society.

The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR)

The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) is the only independent intergovernmental science and technology-based organization which promotes knowledge of all refrigeration fields.

The Safe Contractor Scheme

The Safe Contractor Scheme was established to allow everyone allied to the building trade to demonstrate their ability to meet the legal requirements and demonstrate high standards of health & safety management. This is often demanded as a pre-tender requirement, from household names, for all contractors.

The F-Gas Register

The F-Gas Register is appointed by the secretary of state for the environment, food & rural affairs (DEFRA) to operate an F-Gas Certification body under the stationary equipment provisions of fluorinated greenhouse gases regulations.

CSCS Awards

Uk Cold is committed to CSCS, so much so that we have the highest level of certification, known as the platinum award. This Construction Skills Certification Scheme is designed to show how active we are in training our employees to ensure their safety on every construction site.

Contractors Health & Safety Assessment

CHAS or the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme is another externally accredited scheme to determine our compliance with health & safety law and best practice. This standard is an absolute requirement for local authority and NHS tenders.
